Trip to the Taj Mahal

It was amazing to see one of the seven wonders of the world. It was a very long trip from Delhi but was worth it. We left at 6am and arrived about 10:30. After touring the Taj when then went to the red fort which was very amazing as well. Then we started our long trip back.

The place we stayed at and had the class was very scenic and peaceful. Great time to enjoy the cold weather that is such a change from our city. I am also thankful for the two classes that I was able to take, they have been of great help.

Istanbul

Istanbul is an amazing city! While we were here for class we had the opportunity to visit the city. The building on the top is the Blue Mosque and pictured below is the Hagia Sofia, the oldest church in the world. It was amazing to see the Hagia Sofia and be apart of all the history that is there.

Christmas

We were able to make it back to our flat just in time for Christmas. We had a great time with friends celebrating the birth of Christ. We missed everyone back home but we were glad to be back in our home for Christmas.

Christmas thanks

Thanks to all those who sent gifts and wonderful cards!

Night Safari Thailand

More fun with the animals! While here we rode on a tram around the park and got to see many different animals. Probably the most popular animal and what people thought was the most exotic where the deer, not the Hippo or tiger but the deer. We just could not figure out what the big deal was but then again we are from NC.

Fun in the Sun-Thailand

While in Thailand we stayed at the Juniper Tree. It was a wonderful place and William loved the swimming pool. By the end of the stay he was swimming all over the pool by himself, of course he was assisted by his frog float.

Elephant Camp and Zoo Thailand

While in Thailand we had time to visit the Zoo and the elephant camp there. William was even able to feed the giraffes! And yes we even played in the snow. The day before we were swimming outside and then the next day we were playing in the snow. There was a snow dome in the Zoo and so that was how we played in the snow, it was a lot of fun.
At the elephant camp we saw an elephant show and then rode through the mountain side on the elephant for about an hour. It was fantastic!

We had a great time visiting this historic place in the city. Had a great time meeting with the pastor and hearing about work they are doing.

There is a lot of history in this place and to be able to stand where William Carey worked was awesome. If you don't know much about William Carey (the father ofmodern mission) then I would encourage you to look him up!
